Having difficulty setting up fair and appropriate dessert schedules, Devin's parents decided the fair thing to do was to involve their son in the decision making process.  The conversation went something like this:

Mom: Devin, how many days a week is it fair for you to have dessert after dinner?

Devin: I don't know

Dad: Devin, there are seven days in a week.  How many days do you want to have dessert?

Devin: (heartbeat later) Eight.
